Burnout and Performance-Anxiety Coaching for Musicians, Actors, and Artists
You've built your entire identity around your art. And somewhere along the way, that became the problem.
When your worth as a person is fused to how well you perform, how much you create, or whether people applaud — everything feels like a test you can't afford to fail.
That's not just burnout. That's not just performance anxiety. That's the quiet terror of believing that if your art falls apart, so do you.
You keep pushing through it because stopping feels like quitting. You stay because you feel obligated — to the craft, to the people counting on you, to the version of yourself you promised you'd become.
And that trap? That's exactly where the suffering lives. I see it. I've lived it. And I know how to help you out of it.
Ready to feel like yourself again?
You do not have to keep forcing yourself.
Let’s figure out what’s going on, and let’s chat.

“You have to stop stabbing swords into your heart.”
My story from professional musician to licensed therapist:
Yehuda Gilad said that in one of our lessons one day… it was a profound moment that changed my life.
I was there. I lived it.
Eleven years old to thirty-one. From a small-town band room to some of the most elite conservatories and stages in the country. I studied with legendary teachers who pushed me past what I thought I could handle. I won the competitions. I went to the festivals. I got the seats. I played the rep. I had the gigs. The whole bit.
And I was exhausted in a way I couldn't name.
The clarinet was supposed to be what made me special. It was the one place I felt untouchable. So I held on — past the point where it was serving me, past the point where it was serving the music.
Here's what no one tells you in that world: you can be extraordinary at something and still need to walk away. You can love music and hate what it asks of you. Both of those things can be true. But for a while… I had been pulled towards being a therapist. I was always fascinated by psychology. It was simultaneous and authentic, but devastating.
I went back to school. I became a therapist. I started working with people who were drowning in the exact same silence I lived in — high-performing artists who were brilliant at their craft and completely burned out, who had been told to deal with it so many times they stopped believing anyone could actually help.
And I realized: I wasn't just healing from the inside out. I was building something. I found my true calling in life.
So… I’m back on stage. I’ve returned to music. Never expected it to turn out this way, and I couldn’t be happier.
“Be a great athlete, a deep philosopher, and have a great sense of humor.”

Approach to Coaching

Honest, evidence-based, no BS:
I'm not your average therapist or coach. And this isn't your average therapy or coaching session.
I'm a classically trained musician, a former private music teacher, a coach, a mentor, and now a licensed clinician. I've been on stage. I've felt the pressure.
I've had my own relationship with perfectionism, identity, and what it means to call yourself an artist. That history doesn't sit in a drawer when we work together — it's the foundation of everything I do.
My approach draws from many sources:
Philosophy, existentialism, ACT, CBT, solution-focused, mindfulness, meditation, emotion processing, breathwork, and deep self-awareness.
I'll challenge your thinking directly — we're going to examine the beliefs that are running your life and figure out which ones are actually true.
But I'm not going to hand you a one-size-fits-all framework and call it a day.
Everything we do is built around how YOUR brain works. Your learning style. Your personality. Your specific blocks.
If something isn't working, we say so, adjust, and try something else. We experiment. We evaluate. We stay honest.
I am informal, easy to talk to, and I’m not here to judge you. My goal is to help you succeed and move on with your life.
A few things you should know about how I work:
→ I'm structured. I don't believe in wasting your time or mine.
→ I'm blunt and honest — but I do it with humor. We will laugh. We will also go deep.
→ I believe in personal accountability. I'll ask you to put real effort into what we discuss between sessions. Not busy work — meaningful action.
→ I'm engaged. I give feedback. I'm not sitting across from you nodding silently.
→ Once a day, you have access to a text-based check-in with me. Ask questions. Flag something significant. Stay connected to the work between sessions.
→ If you're in NYC and have a performance coming up, you can invite me. I'll come, observe your presence on stage, and in our next session, we'll process your internal state, your reactions, and what I noticed. It gives us real data to work with — not just what you remember feeling.
→ I provide free worksheets, homework, books, articles, and videos tailored to exactly what's getting in your way. Some I've created myself. Others I'll point you to directly — a specific book, study, journal, or YouTube video.
→ We meet for 50 minutes each week and build your plan together, collaboratively.
This is serious work. But it doesn't have to feel heavy all the time.
If you're ready to stop forcing your way through your career and actually figure out what's going on underneath — let's talk.
